The Laguiole (pronounced “la-yoll”) knife derived from a high quality folding pocket knife, originally produced in the town of Laguiole in the Aveyron region in Southern France.
“Laguiole” is a generic term and is not restricted to one company or place of manufacture. Laguiole knives carry a Bumble Bee emblem, which signifies the region.
