Wine Cellar Integrated in Premium Multi-Residential Living

Positioned at the heart of this premium multi-residential apartment in Melbourne, the wine cellar was integrated as a considered architectural focal point.

MacPhee’s Wine Cellaring Specialists worked closely with the client, architect and builder to define the cellar’s proportions, insulation build-up and climate control requirements before construction was finalised, ensuring the wine room enhances the surrounding interior rather than competing with it.

Storage and Display
The cellar features the EuroCave Modulo-X modular wine racking system, enabling the collection to be stored logically while remaining visually composed. Integrated lighting is carefully positioned to illuminate each bottle evenly, adding depth and subtle drama to the space.

Climate Control and Performance
A stable thermal envelope was achieved using Kingspan Kooltherm K17 insulated plasterboard, paired with a WhisperKOOL ceiling-mount climate control system to deliver precise temperature and humidity control for long-term wine cellaring.

The completed space balances architectural presence with technical performance.
